Deutsche Post DHL has announced plans to take on a minority stake in Relais Colis, a French e-commerce logistics company.
In a move to enhance its presence in one of Europe's largest e-commerce markets, the German company will acquire a 27.5 per cent stake in its French competitor and expand its offering of logistics services across the Relais Colis network.
Relais Colis, meanwhile, is expected to benefit from additional volumes from the Deutsche Post DHL Group's networks as well as experience in the German parcel market.
Relais Colis currently employs about 450 people, with a network of three national hubs, 22 branches and 4,800 pickup points across France.
