Ceva Logistics has opened its Central Distribution Center at Shah Alam, Malaysia, and its new headquarters for South America in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The new Malaysian centre adds 33,000 sqm of warehousing and office space to an existing facility for a combined warehouse footprint of 67,000 sqm, making it the largest site in Ceva’s South East Asia cluster.
Ceva’s CEO, Xavier Urbain, said, “Malaysia is one of our key markets in the Asia region. The country has excellent connectivity both domestically and internationally. It is also in a region where a strong middle class is emerging to drive Asian consumption upwards, positively influencing trade and supply chain activities across various sectors. All these factors make Malaysia a strategic market for CEVA to invest in, allowing us to enhance the scope and quality of our services for customers.”
Ceva’s Elaine Low, Executive Vice President of South East Asia said, “Our expanded footprint with this new facility illustrates our commitment to growth in Malaysia.”
The new Brazilian headquarters are located in the Thera Corporate office complex in the Vila Olimpia region of São Paulo, and will bring together operational and back-office functions under one roof.
Richard Vieites, EVP South America, said: “This is an important strategic step for Ceva in the region as we consolidate our presence and prepare for continued growth.
“The Center allows us to demonstrate ‘real world’ logistics innovation through supply chain optimisation and enhanced visibility, integrated services and technology solutions to power supply chain efficiency.”
