New Zealand-based heavy equipment specialist Tidd Ross Todd (TRT) has won the New Zealand Defence Industry Award in the ‘Provision of Excellent Equipment to Defence’ category.
TRT was nominated for the award by the New Zealand Defence Force for the design and manufacture of five unique rows-of-eight trailers.
The equipment was sold to Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia as part of their truck replacement program for New Zealand Defence Force’s medium-heavy operational vehicle fleet.
The New Zealand Defence Force reportedly noted the ease of working with TRT and its ability to deliver a ‘fit-for-purpose’ trailer with increased mobility on and off road that is capable of carrying a wide range of equipment.
