Linfox opens new distribution centre in China

Transport and logistics company Linfox has officially opened a new 40,000m2 distribution centre in Tianjin, China.

According to Linfox, the new facility was designed as part of its strategic partnership with multinational consumer company, Unilever. The site will strengthen Unilever’s distribution network in Northern China.

Acting China Country Manager for Linfox, Ping Lim, said the site will comprise of two separate buildings, catering for Unilever’s diverse product lines.

“The first area contains around 28,000 pallet positions and is specifically designed for home and personal care products, while a second smaller area will safely house food products,” Ping said.

“The distribution centre features leading technology, including Linfox’s SAP warehouse management system and draws on expertise on warehouse and systems design.”
