The Supervisory Board of Schenker AG has appointed Markus Sontheimer to the role of Chief Information Officer on the Board of Schenker AG in Essen, Germany, effective 1 January 2016.
Sontheimer, who is currently CIO of financial in the German Bank AG, will replace Peter Schumann, who is leaving the company at the end of November.
Sontheimer has held various management positions in Germany and abroad in the IT sector, including at Daimler AG, most recently as CIO Daimler Financial Services and Sales, Marketing and After Sales Mercedes-Benz.
