DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Thomas Tieber as the new CEO for its ASEAN and South Asia division.
Prior to the new role, Tieber managed DHL’s Thailand business and established operations in Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Now he will also oversee the Cambodian, Indonesian, Philippino, Singaporean, and Vietnamese markets, as well as other agent operations in ASEAN and South Asia.
Based in Thailand, he will continue to report directly to Kelvin Leung, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific.
“ASEAN is an important region for DHL Global Forwarding as we have seen the pace and growth of Intra-ASEAN trade accelerating in the last few years,” Leung commented.
