In order to meet increasing trailer demand in Italy, German trailer OEM Kögel has expanded its Italian sales structure with four new sales representatives and two new dealers.
In 2014, Kögel reportedly sold 524 semi-trailers in Italy and more than tripled its sales year-on-year from 2013.
According to the OEM, a new sales structure, which was introduced in 2014, and Massimo Dodoni, Sales Manager South-East Europe, have been the driving forces behind this growth.
“The expansion of the Italian sales structure is our response to the steep rise in demand for trailers in this region,” said Thomas Heckel, General Manager at Kögel. “The success in January just re-confirms to us that the strategic decision to expand our team was the right thing to do.”
In a statement, Kögel reported an Italian market share of over 15 per cent for the first quarter of 2015.
