Dubai National Day celebrated with convoy of 43 trailers

Emirates SkyCargo, Dubai Airports, Dubai World Central (DWC) and Allied Transport commemorated Dubai’s 43rd National Day with a parade of 43 trailers decorated in UAE flags.

According to Nabil Sultan, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President, Cargo, the 1.3 kilometre convoy represented the UAE’s continuous drive towards progress.

“We wanted to find a unique way to celebrate on this significant day. The moving convoy of trucks, decked out with UAE flags, is a fitting tribute to the UAE’s long legacy of accomplishments and the role that logistics plays in the country’s economic success,” said Sultan.

“The celebrations are an expression of how proud we are of establishing Dubai International as the 3rd busiest cargo hub in the world,” said Majed Al-Joker, Senior Vice President Operations at Dubai Airports.

The convoy avoided traffic by travelling on a 10 kilometre exclusive corridor at DWC from Gate five to Gate six, creating the longest recorded moving convoy of UAE flags.
