September saw a continuation of a strong order season for the US trailer industry, with 32,194 net orders placed.
“The pace of orders continues to amaze,” said Frank Maly, Director – CV Transportation Analysis and Research at US company ACT Researth. “September new and net orders both saw 29 per cent sequential gains and net orders are up 86 per cent year-over-year.”
Maly also said that year-to-date, net orders rose 51 per cent. “Strong quarter-ending production levels combined with an inventory drawdown to push shipment levels to almost 26,900 units, the best volume since June 2006.”
