August saw a continuation of a strong order season for the US trailer industry, according to ACT Research.
“Both new and net orders posted gains of 30 per cent month over month in August,” said Frank Maly, Director – CV Transportation Analysis and Research at ACT.
According to Maly, 25,191 net orders were posted during the month. “Strength was widespread, with nine of 10 trailer categories showing month over month and year over year growth,” he said.
Maly added that low cancellations indicated that fleet commitments were solid. “Conditions for the industry remain a strong and solid ‘green',” he said.
