Preparations are now in full swing for the 13th International Heavy Vehicle Transport Technology Symposium (HVTT13) to be held from 27-31 October in San Luiz, Argentina.
The theme for the 13th edition of the biannual event is ‘Expanding Horizons’, with the conference to cover innovation in vehicle technology and design, as well as heavy vehicle transport policy and sustainability. It is also the first time a South American venue has been chosen for the Symposium.
“Delegates from many regions have already registered – including Central and South America, Europe, North America, Oceania the Caribbean and South Africa,” said Bob Pearson, Chair, HVTT13 Scientific Committee.
“All countries throughout the world are faced with a growing freight task. Despite the rapidly-developing road infrastructure and heavy vehicle technologies evident in many countries, the challenges regarding safety, congestion, productivity, community expectations and the environment remain. This Symposium is therefore becoming more relevant as a forum in which to exchange ideas and solutions.”
The Symposium will be presented by the International Forum for Road Transport Technology (IFRTT), with the aim of providing a forum for discussions and the exchange of ideas amongst legislators, road administrators, academics, consultants, vehicle manufacturers and suppliers, transport organizations and transport operators.
