German trailer builder, Scheuerle, has unveiled its new STB 550 side girder deck trailer at a recent event in Pfedelbach, Germany.
“The sophisticated design of the STB 550 allows for a wide range of operating options,” said Bernd Schwengsbier, Managing Director of TII Sales, noting the new trailer was capable of hauling up to 550 tonnes.
“The ratio of payload to tare weight has been optimized and, as a result, the STB 550 is far more variable than similar products on the market.”
According to Scheuerle's parent company, TII Group, the first STB 550 was delivered to UK heavy haulage business, Collett Transport.
The company will use it for transporting 350-tonne transformers and generators.
