The team at UK company, SDC Trailers, has raised £20,000 (€24,500) for Northern Ireland’s Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC) by taking part in the Belfast Marathon.
The trailer manufacturer entered two rely teams from their headquarters in Toomebridge.
SDC’s Director, Darren Donnelly, who took part in the Marathon said: “I have seen first-hand the excellent facilities that NICFC have to offer and I am pleased that we are able to support such a worthy charity. I’d like to thank everyone who showed their support and donated.”
The Northern Ireland Cancer fund for children offer support to children, teenagers and young adults with cancer. Last month, the NICFC opened a new therapeutic centre in the Mournes which provides families affected by childhood cancer in Northern Ireland a short break aimed to help them relax during a traumatic and challenging time.
