SWTrans adds new SPMTs to fleet

Russian transport company, SWTrans, has taken delivery of two new 23.5-tonne, six-axle self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) built by German heavy equipment specialist, Scheuerle.

Due to time requirements, the two SPMT models were flown directly to the Russian town of Khabarovsk, before being delivered to SWTrans, while the SMPTs PowerPack sections were transferred over on a different flight.

SWTrans will use the SMPTs to transport a 1300-tonne cracking reactor for a local oil refinery.
