The Jost Group, a transport and logistics company based in Luxembourg, has acquired Belgian air freight specialist CPL Trans. According to Jost, the acquisition was part of a strategy to consolidate the range of services offered within the Group.
According to Jost, CPL Trans is a leading force in transporting air freight by road in Europe, generating a turnover of € 27 million a year. “The company is particularly focused on refrigerated transport and just-in-time work; goods have to be delivered with very tight time constraints and flawless execution,” the company said, emphasizing that the take-over will help “Interconnect” teams and services within the Group, making it an “important addition” to the Jost portfolio.
The Jost Group is present in 11 European countries and North Africa, currently employs 1,650 people and has 1,100 motor vehicles, 2,400 towed vehicles and 250,000m ² of warehouse space – generating a turnover of € 245 million in 2012.
