New Kögel contract with F-Logistik in Germany

German transport company F-Logistik has added 12 Kögel dry freight vans and five refrigerated semi-trailers to its fleet in the Saarland region in the Southeast of the country.

The new Kögel 'Box' trailers will be used for the transportation of medical products and equipment, while the Kögel 'Cool' units will be deployed to the specialised transport of vital medication for a global health company.

“Due to the comprehensive standard spec and selected special equipment, these Kögel vehicles are ideally suited for the stringent requirements of these sensible transport tasks,”  Kögel announced.

“For example, all trailers are equipped with the Kögel Telematics system. This allows real-time access to location, temperature, trailer and trailer EBS data. In this case, electronic temperature recorders from the forwarding company permanently record the temperatures in several sections inside the trailer. The driver and the forwarding company can access the data directly and take immediate action if necessary.”

A Wabco internet portal will provide F-Logistik with the location of the load and the coupling status, in addition to the temperature data. “Even when de-coupled, the temperature recorder reliably measures and transmits the data since it is provided with power by an additional battery,” according to Kögel.
