US fleet solutions company, Trimble, has announced a management change in Australia and New Zealand, highlighted by a key product enhancement.
The company has appointed Tom Debeule as the new Business Development Manager for Trimble’s Transport and Logistics division in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
According to Trimble, Debeule brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the local team, with more than 13 years experience in the international telematics industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the local team. With his extensive experience in the telematics sector, we couldn’t have asked for a more qualified person for the job,” Tom Scahill, Trimble’s Business Area Director for the ANZ, region, said.
Prior to his new role in Sydney, Debeule was the Belgium Country Manager for Trimble’s Transport and Logistics European sector, and has also worked for ARC, SecTrack, European Datacomm and RoboCAD.
Globally, Trimble also announced new enhancements to the Trimble GeoManager Driver Safety solution, which allows field service organisations to manage and communicate driver behaviour and vehicle safety more effectively.
According to Trimble, the updates will increase visibility for multiple stakeholders within a business into any risky driving behaviour via new report formats, an improved executive dashboard and driver scorecards, as well as real-time delivery of idling and speeding alerts.
“Monitoring driving safety allows organisations to help mitigate risk by measuring safe driving habits, which can result in fewer crashes and lower insurance rates,” Mark Forrest, General Manager of Trimble Field Service Management, said.
“With GeoManager Driver Safety, we’re better able to configure the safety needs of a field service fleet. The latest enhancements, which include the Driver Safety’s executive dashboard, driver scorecards and exception alerts, can allow companies to improve driving patterns and optimise safety while helping to reduce liability.”
