Jens Zeller (49) has been appointed as the new Head of Sales for Central Europe at Schmitz Cargobull. He will support and coordinate the activities of each of the national subsidiaries in this region, with his responsibilities spanning 19 countries. Approximately 17 per cent of the company’s turnover for trailers and associated services are achieved in these markets.
Zeller is a graduate economist and, following many years working for the commercial vehicle division of Daimler AG, has gained an extensive knowledge of the automotive industry and in particular of road transport and logistics operations. This makes him the ideal candidate to lead this area of the business for Schmitz Cargobull.
The experienced sales manager was responsible for overall sales at Daimler Fleetboard GmbH for many years as a member of the Management Board. Prior to this, as Head of Key Account Management at Daimler AG, he was in charge of the sales of Mercedes-Benz trucks.
His career path has been marked both by extended periods working abroad and also by responsibility for international sales and company management activities.
Rainer Bräutigam, previously Head of the Central Europe Sales Region, will take over sales management and responsibility for the establishment of a new business unit for rigid truck bodies.
