US trailer manufacturer, Great Dane, officially unveiled a new Freedom XP platform trailer at the recent 2012 Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas.
The Freedom XP is an all-aluminum trailer that weighs in at 3.7 tonnes when equipped with aluminum wheels, making it about 450 kilograms lighter than a comparable combination steel/aluminium model.
According to Great Dane, this model is available in 48 (14.6m) and 53-foot (16.3m) lengths and is equipped with a full-length built-in sliding winch track.
Great Dane also launched the Freedom LT, based on a steel and aluminum combination, and the Freedom SE, a heavy-duty all-steel trailer with available straight, drop or extendable body styles.
