Austrian transport company Meindl has recently purchased six height-optimised Kögel Mega trailers, growing its fleet of oversized transport equipment to a total of 17. Labeled P55, the new Kögel can boast an internal effective height of three metres at an overall height of four metres.
To optimise vehicle height, the new Mega P55 is coming with a 445/45 R 19.5 tyre combination, while the semi-trailer throat was reduced from 90 to 55 millimetres. Tare weight starting at 6.4 tonnes to ensure ample payload.
Meindl's Mega trailer is fitted with a mechanical-hydraulic lifting roof as standard to simplify the loading and unloading process, increasing the side and rear through-loading height to three metres. The roof straps are integrated in the roof tarpaulin. To provide enough space to load the trailer from above, the sliding roof can also be moved from the front to the back.
