Great Dane launches new 2012 product mix

US company Great Dane has launched several new initiatives as part of its new advertising campaign to maintain its position as a leading force in trailer manufacturing.

Since the acquisition of Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies in 2010, Great Dane has made sweeping changes to its complete product line and century-old brand to accompany a new advertising campaign entitled “Evolution.”

Those changes have resulted in Great Dane’s distributing a new product mix, which includes Everest refrigerated trailers; Champion dry vans and Freedom flatbeds. With each line consisting of three models to meet target markets and specifications.

In 2011, Great Dane launched a national-account parts and service program, AdvantEDGE. This year, it also adds a 24-hour, seven days a week Emergency Road Service (ERS) to its mobile network, exclusive to customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. ERS’ round-the-clock services include towing, trailer and tractor repair, maintenance on reefer units and tires, and drop-lot facilities.

Recognizing that, “the needs of our customers in the trucking industry have evolved (…) just as our capabilities and technologies have”, Great Dane has promised its consumer base, “competitive labour rates”, and guaranteed up-front estimates will also be offered. The plan’s signature parts-price protection is available at more than 20,000 certified mobile providers across North and South America.
